How is AI changing education? Join our September meetup

We are opening the new academic year with a meetup titled Rethinking Education in the Age of AI. On September 29 we will meet at Prague University of Economics and Business to explore how AI is reshaping education across public schools, private schools, non-formal learning, and the classrooms of younger children.

What should students be learning in a world shaped by artificial intelligence? And how does the role of a teacher or lecturer change once everyone has a tool at hand that can answer almost anything? These are the questions opening our first autumn meetup, organised in cooperation with the AI Transformers community.

The programme will offer four different perspectives on the same topic. Ota Novotný will present the perspective of public education, Dana Hague will bring experience from private education, Michal Ličko will offer a view from private non-formal learning, and Kateřina Cakin, CEO of the Tiny project at AI dětem, will add the perspective of children’s education and how AI is entering the classroom itself. The four lightning talks will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A with the audience.

Together we will look at how the role of teachers and lecturers is changing, what students should take away from school in the age of AI, and which skills will matter most for the future of education and work. And because the best conversations often start only once the programme ends, there will of course be time for networking and informal discussion.

We will meet on Tuesday, September 29 at 5:30 PM in the Quattro Modulare classroom (Italská budova) at Prague University of Economics and Business. The meetup will be held in English and admission is free.
