30 New Participants Have Joined Our MBA Programs

On Monday, September 8, our two transformational MBA programs officially kicked off. A total of 30 new participants enrolled in the Data & Analytics for Business Management and IT Management & Business Transformation programs. We welcomed them with two separate opening events at xPORT Business Accelerator VŠE.

At the Monday morning introductory session, Ota Novotny, Academic Director of the Data MBA program, compared the study experience to a thrilling slide ride:

“Studying for our MBA is like the enclosed slide here at xPORT, which you’ll soon get a chance to try. At first, you ride slowly into the dark. Then it speeds up and you no longer know how to stop. Luckily, you see the light at the end – and we promise that at the end of this slide, you won’t crash into a wall.”

Participants were also greeted by Milan Nidl, Academic Director of the IT MBA, Dušan Chlapek, Vice-Dean of FIS, and Martin Matějka representing our partner KPMG Czech Republic. The organizational team also introduced themselves as the guides who will support the future data and IT leaders throughout their studies.

A few days later, on Thursday, September 11, the new faces joined the broader community at an opening reception. The xPORT venue was buzzing – alongside the 30 new participants, alumni, lecturers, and corporate partners filled the space. It was the first gathering of our Data & Business community this year and a wonderful start to the new academic season.

The MBA in Data & Analytics for Business Management has already celebrated more than 100 successful graduates, while the new IT Management & Business Transformation program is just beginning to write its first chapter. Both programs are supported by leading corporate partners – KPMG Czech Republic, ČSOB, Škoda Auto, and Siemens – with SCET UC Berkeley as the academic partner.

We thank everyone who joined us for the celebrations. And to our new students – we wish you an inspiring and successful journey, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming gatherings.
