How to lead IT teams across cultures? Join our next Voices of Transformation meetup
Thursday, April 23 at 17:30
VŠE (Prague University of Economics and Business), room IB 302, Italská building
Under the title Multicultural IT Leaders in Czechia, we will explore what it takes to lead teams across countries, cultures, and time zones. The program will feature short lightning talks from experienced IT leaders working in international environments, followed by an open panel discussion and informal networking. The evening will bring diverse perspectives on working in a global context and share practical experiences with leading teams across markets and cultures.
Meet the speakers:
Paul Čejka, an experienced executive leader with 15+ years in high-tech and manufacturing, has driven business growth across EMEA and APAC with full P&L responsibility. At the meetup, he will focus on one of today’s biggest challenges in IT management – change management from a cultural perspective, and why culture often determines whether transformation succeeds or fails.
Alex Salvatore, IT leader at DHL, has spent over 15 years managing international teams across companies like AT&T, MSD, NTT, and DHL IT Services. He will share lessons learned from working in global environments and practical insights on navigating different cultures and teams.
Madhumitha Rajasekar, Director of Data Engineering at MSD Czech Republic, brings over 18 years of experience in data management, architecture, and analytical solutions in healthcare and pharma. She focuses on designing and delivering data engineering solutions that support analytics and business needs.
The meetup will be hosted by:
Jorge Cooper, a subject matter expert in cross-cultural communication and leadership, who has been teaching at VŠE for over 20 years. Having worked with people from 177 countries, he brings a uniquely practical perspective on how to make multicultural teams work in real life.
